Hang in there...

Aren't these possums just the cutest things! I love them hanging from the tree. This card just makes me happy every time I look at it. I have to figure out who could use a smile most and send it to them. How could it not brighten up their day!

Karen's Doodles challenge this week was to make a project with animals. Now knowing I just love animals, I had to find a fun stamp to use this week and this is just the perfect one. I just added a few embellishments to finish the card, but I thought not too much..I wanted to keep the attention on these little darlings! Now how come when I see them outside at night, they can't be this cute..I run VERY fast when they come across my path here!

Digital pencil challenge #44 is all about inspiration. Bright colors were to be used and I really found out..I need some more paper. With thousands of sheets of scrapbook paper around the house, I couldn't find any bold bright colors. Does that mean I need to go to the scrapbook store??? Hmmm...Maybe!

It is finally gorgeous here in Chicagoland! 80*, nice breeze and sunny with just a few fluffy clouds hitting the sky. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect summer day! Hopefully it will last a little longer and we can let go of the 90's for a while.

My card today is for two challenges. Kraftin' Kimmie's and All that scraps. You can buy this sassy beach babe at both of their shops. The challenge at all that scraps was to use a die cut..My palm tree is from life's a beach cartridge for my cricut. Kimmie's was buttons, bling and scallops. Oh Sweet Baby!

Oh my it has been a very long and exhausting week. I have really missed crafting and posting. I am hoping it will slow down a little for the weekend so I can play with my crafty toys.

My first Christmas card of the year

I am not sure how this happened. I was just playing with my cricut and found some trees I wanted to make. Somehow I started making the trees and ended up with this card. I am happy I did it, It got me remembering Christmas is just four short months away and I really should be making a couple a week. Just some simple embellishments put it all together. I used a K&Co paper pack and embellishments from last year and added just a few rows of snow. The trees are from the winter woodland collection. Enjoy..I hope it gets you sparked..I know some of you are procrastinators and I hope I reminded you how close we are..It's 90* outside, one would never guess it will be 0* in just a few months.

Super Saturday Sketch # 32

Just a simple fun sketch for today. I wanted to leave it a little flatter for mailing purposes. It was really hard for me since I love dimension so much, but I think I accomplished it pretty well. If you would like to add more to it, you can easily add some bling or ribbon or other embellishments to give it the little extra pop. I love these Changito Monkey's. Just another birthday

Today I bring you a couple of birthday cards I have been working on. It was nice to make some fun manly one's for a change..I don't know why those have to be so hard to make. At least for me they are! I know my mallard isn't true color, but I thought I would just play outside the box for this one..That's why we get to create it how we want right?

I found a new digital company and their stamps are so fabulous!!! They are Bella digi stamps..and you can take a peek here. They have fun challenges on their blog. I thought I would take a try at one. This weeks challenge is anything but a card. I have made a cute treasure box with a matching card. I used the such tweet friends stamp..Isn't it just darling? Karen's Doodle Challenge 21-white on white

Today's sketch comes just a day late because I was having a blast at CHA this weekend. Lots of goodies to see and touch and all the new toys to play with. I pick up a few goodies for myself. I will be posting some of them in the upcoming week :)

I hope you like this sketch. I used an image from Karens doodles called time for tea. Isn't it just darling. I computer generated the the saying and cut it with one of my new spellbinder dies i picked up at the show. It actually has a little extra part to it that I cut off for this project. Paper Piecing Alice

Happy Tuesday! Today's creation is all about paper piecing. In Mo's digital challenge this week, we were asked to try some digital paper piecing. It was a challenge because I have only done rubber stamping piecing. I just ran my image through the printer as always and ran a second scrap of DP through after. Color and cutting out the apron is all that is left to do. Once I actually did it, It wasn't as hard as I thought. I will have to try this technique again soon. My papers are some leftover scraps I had laying around and just some simple ribbon to finish it off. Karen's doodles Challenge #20

This is my very first Karen's doodle challenge. This week was a sketch challenge and I just love sketches! The donkey is just adorable! I have just started my collection of the fabulous stamps so it is slowly growing. I hope to purchase some more real soon. This cute donkey is one of the freebies she has right now. It's a special release for a special crafter Michelle Oatman who has had a horrible accident and lost one of her eyes. Karen has designed this special donkey because Michelle loves them. Card organizer

This week at the All that Scraps challenge blog they challenged me to anything but a card. I saw this fun tutorial over at splitcoast stampers for a card organizer box and decided it would be fun to try it. It was really easy and didn't take much paper at all. I used DCWV linen closet pack (it's nice and sturdy) and adorned it with this cute CC Designs digi stamp called flower turtle. You can find it here in the all that scraps store. Make a Wish

Hello everyone. It's been a really fun stamping day for me. Did you ever have one of those days when you were making a card and just lost your train of thought? I started the make a wish card yesterday..got stuck and walked away. I came back and finished it today and loved the end result. I just love the look on the little CC Design stamp and she is just so happy giving out her cupcake.

I also have a second card today. Somehow it started out to be a birthday card and happen to turn into a sympathy card. I am not sure how it got that way, but I really love how that one turned out too. I hope you enjoy them both and have a wonderful evening.

Forever Firends

Today I have a multi part project to share. I was making a box for a friend and added the tag. I had some leftover scraps so I decided to make a fun card with them. It was really nice to use up some scraps while they were still sitting in front of me. Maybe I should take a lesson from today and do it more often.

Make a splash. That is sure what I will feel like this week. It is due to be hot and steamy around here all week. It will be wonderful to just sit and relax at the pool and soak up the sun. I really wish I was like this sweet young lady and heading to the beach, but with a broken toe and the ocean over 1000 miles away, I won't be seeing any white sand beaches for some time. Waving Hello (Kraftin Kimmie Challenge 37

Yeah a another fun Kraftin Kimmie challenge this week. It was for PINK!!!! I love pink..with 5 daughters around here I guess I have to be use to it by now. I haven't used this fabulous mermaid yet. Her name is Calliope and you can get her in Kimmie's Store here. I just love all these mermaids. I was happy to pick up the whole set of them for my birthday.

I added lots of extras on this card. From bubble bling, beads, ribbon kelp, buttons and primas. She was so much fun dancing around I just couldn't help it. Hello everyone on this beautiful Summer Friday night. The weather is gorgeous outside here. It's nice to just get out and enjoy the night air. Fintastic Friends

I finally was able to play with all my crafty toys today. It has been quite the week, I was happy to get to play again.

This card was a just for fun card. I used a sweet November stamp I purchased at all that scraps here. Take your pick, they have it in digi and in rubber! I added some pearls and seaweed from the life's a beach cartridge. Just a touch of Martha Stewart's glitter for the sand and extra sparkle of course. Gotta have sparkle. Enjoy.

Can I just say..wow..what a neat project. For the all that scraps challenge this week I needed to make one of these box in a bag projects. I have used her many times before but she is just darling on this little bag. I made the tag from a stash dollar set. I thought it matched just perfect when filled with some candy! This is just a fun simple card today. Nothing fancy. I received my first peachy keen stamp from a friend at the retreat I went to. This set is called happy bird and phrases. click here to get it! Peachy Keen has lots of other fun stamps. I have been eyeballing the sea animals for months now. I really love them but just haven't dived in yet. I hope to someday soon.
