Super Saturday Sketch #9

Well..It is Sunday. So my "Super Saturday Sketch" is just a little late. I made this card for my Hubby's birthday so I hope he doesn't see this before tomorrow. All the paper came from a little card kit I had in my stash and the embellishments were just some fun birthday Jolees. I hope you get a chance to try the sketch this week.

Horsin Around (second take)

This was a card and tag I made for a birthday swap I was holding. I used the same Gina K stamp set as before and cut out each seahorse. I added some seaweed from the beach cricut cartridge. I used the oval nestabilities and layered them in the same colors.

Stamps: Gina K "best fishes"
Paper: SU taken with teal
Pattern Paper: DCWV summer paper pack
Ink: Momento black
Copic Markers: BG 75,72,23,11

Thanks just isn't enough

For the first time I started a card in reverse. Usually I will stamp an image, and add the phrase from there. This time, I really liked this rub on and wanted to make a special card. Then I searched my collection and found the perfect stamp to fit the phrase. It was an interesting concept and I just love how it turned out.

Paper: SU "amethyst" "celery"

Super Saturday Sketch #7

This week take on my sketch comes from a stamping bella image a dear friend gave to me. I have lots of stamped images I really need to take the time and sort. When they start to make more than 24 hours in a day, let me know! As an extra special treat, I was able to use my watercolor pencils today since I am not really sure what ink it was stamped in. I don't utilize them as much as I should.

A crafty day!

I have been a very busy crafter today. Besides my Try it Tuesday I made some sweet little valentine boxes for two special valentines with my cricut and 13 valentines for a swap. The few shown are just some of the cards. The journal I actually made the other day and just wanted to share. I hope you enjoy them all.

Try it Tuesday-Baby Wipe Technique

Try it Tuesday fell again on Wednesday..But I did it! It is a technique with baby wipes. You just add a few re-inkers to the wipe and stream it across some glossy paper. I really like the effect, but I need some more practice with some colors and blending it just right.

Card Recipe:
Stamps: SU "coast to coast"
Paper: SU "brocade blue" "Black" "glossy white"
Ink: "sta-zon black"
Re-inkers SU cocoa, carribean, rust, pumpkin pie, summer sun, bashful blue

I love when projects just somehow come together. This paper was leftover from my turtle cracked glass project. Just a few other embellishments and the card was finished. Try It Tuesday-Cracked Glass

Today's try it Tuesday project is for cracked class. Just add about three or four layers of clear embossing powder on your entire picture with a Versa Pad and pop it in the freezer. In just a couple of minutes, take it out and break it wherever you want. This was a lot of fun, I think I will try it again soon. I really love these try it Tuesdays..It is forcing me to try all those projects I said "one day". I hope you get a chance to try something new too.
