Mo's DP2 Challenge #37 --Anything Goes

Another creation using one of the fabulous images in Mo's digital shop. I used one of the fun images in the support our troops set. You can pick it up here! I just finished up the card with real red from SU and some scraps I had from a DCWV summer stack. I had the flag leftover from a fun swap card last year and added just a touch of ribbon. If you are interested in doing any of mo's challenges, click here to find out more. Enjoy..

Live every moment!

Live every moment! I am always telling my girls this because you can't get any of them back. You can only learn from the ones that have passed behind us.
I love this image "bathing beauty Emma" from CC Designs. They also have a digital copy if you like digital. I am entering this card in the All That Scraps challenge this week. The challenge was to use pink, green and blue. Some of my favorite colors so I was certain it wouldn't be a problem coming up with them! I used my cricut for the accents and top note design. If you would like to try this challenge or any of the challenges, head on over to the all that scraps challenge blog.

Make a splash..

Kraftin' Kimmie's challenge #35 this week was for shapely cards. I figured I just HAD to use my new mermaid stamps I received for my birthday. I just love them. This is just one of the sets I received. Her name is Ariana..You can get her here in Kimmie's store. I used my cricut "animal kingdom" cartridge and used the border for the fishbowl to make the actual card shape. The ends of the border is where I folded it to make the actual card. (4" dial setting ) It was a lot of work, but I love how it came out. Thanks for the wonderful challenge..It really made me think outside the box with this one! If you wish to try one of Kimmie's challenges, click here for the challenge blog.

Super Saturday Sketch #26

Today's sketch is a fun birthday card. I was inspired by a scrap page I saw in a magazine with the hanging tags. I thought it would be a fun idea for a card too. The tags are hung across a piece of string and just attached to the card for a swing effect. I just added a few pre-made embellishments and made it a fast and easy card ready for a special birthday.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:SU euphoria alphabet
Paper:DCWV cafe-mediterranean stack

Ink: Momento Black

Super Saturday Sketch # 25 (Yup..A little late)

Well it's a little late due to R & R time but here is the sketch for last Saturday. The picture doesn't do this card justice, but it opens at the half and the floral background is actually the card inside. Just cut off 2 and 1/8 off the end of the front of the card and attach that part in the center of the front horizontally to make a flap. (I'm hoping I didn't confuse you) I had lots of fun using all my summer embellishments from my stash. The paper is new from SU called Island Oasis. I might have to get another package because I love all of the patterns in it.
We will be back on track Saturday for a new sketch, so if you get a chance to do this one, post a link and I would love to see it.

You're Fintastic

DP2 challenge # 36 is for dry embossing. I decided to use the tiny bubbles cuttlebug folder for my background on my card. I just love this image from Mo..She is so talented. Click here for her store of digi designs. I used Melia on her shell phone. How adorable is she. Click here for the direct link. I used some fun glitter paper for the sand I purchased on my vacation and just used some ribbon for the kelp. I hope you like her.. I love hearing from you..

Well, This might be my last post for the rest of the week. I am taking some time this week to celebrate with friends at a scrapbook retreat. I am lucky enough to meet up a day early with one of my very best friends for a little R & R and shopping. It's going to be wonderful. I will be back Sunday just in time for father's day. I hope to have lots of projects to show you when I get back..Or maybe too much talking and giggling I won't have anything to show for it but good memories!
I just got this stamp for my birthday this weekend and I was thrilled to be able to use it! I used a sketch from ISC's sketch challenge they have this week. I hope you like it..Not too sophisticated, but it's fun! What am I going to do when summer is over and I have to put away all my summer stamps! No, I don't think that will actually happen :)

You brighten my day!

Getting to play with my Kraftin' Kimmie stamps again today! This weeks challenge was to make something beachy..I don't exactly have the beach on it..you might think I am a broken record otherwise. I thought it still fit into the catagory of beachiness. I used my nestibilities for the sun and added all the cuts for a little ray of sunshine. YOu can't see it from the photo, but I also cut apart the straw pieces on the hat to give it a straw look. If you would like to join the challenge, click here and if you would like to purchase this adorable stamp, click here for Kraftin' Kimmie's store.

This darling stamp is called Sweet Kiki La Rue. I just love her. She is one of the CC Designs collections and I got her at all that scraps. You can even get her digi if you like digi images. I was inspired by the All That Scraps challenge blog. This weeks challenge was for ribbons and buttons. It's a little hard to see my button in the photo, but I used one to adorn her headband. I decided to give the ribbon a little bit of a unique look and add the two colors offset.

Tri fold card

This card was for a fun challenge over at ISC. It was a fold challenge. The card was a lot of fun to make once I finally got all the measurement right. I used my songbird paper pack and old olive paper.
If you would like to try the card, Measure your paper (on the short sides) at 5 1/2 and 3 on the opposite side. Cut on that angle you just made the length of the card. You will have two equal pieces of card stock. Score at 3 5/8 and 7 3/8. Mountain fold one side and valley fold the other. Decorate as you wish. I hope that made sense. Enjoy.

Teacher gifts are finished and delivered!

These are just a few of the teacher gifts I made this year. I made note card sets and wrapped them up with ribbon and gave them to the teachers. The pen flower pot pen holder looks much better in person. It went to the principal. She is leaving our school after 6 years. I have them all delivered and they loved them all. I may have to start thinking of Christmas gifts early and work on those earlier in October or November..I really came down to the wire this year! Enjoy.
