Super Saturday Sketch #49

Hi everyone..Welcome to another Super Saturday Sketch! I just can't get enough of this image!!I love it sooo much. It's one of Karen's doodles images. It's called first snowfall and you can grab it here at the Karen's Doodles online shop! There are a lot of fun winter images if you are looking for some new designs for your collection. Take a look..you won't be disappointed.
For my sketch, I cut apart my image at even intervals and matted and mounted them on some great paper studio paper I picked up on sale last week. I went very non traditional colors on this one. I really like them. I am such a pink and girly girl kinda person, I wasn't sure how it would turn out. I am glad I stepped out of my box to try something new!
I am also adding this card to the doodle diva challenge..You just email them a copy of your project and you have a chance to win FREE images. I have been lucky enough to win the diva challenge once and I hope I can do it again..I love playing with diva doodles!!! If you want to try a doodle diva challenge.Click here for all the details!

Catching Snowflakes

Hi everyone. Today I am happy enough to bring you two projects! My second creation is this darling little girl catching snowflakes on her tongue is from Karen's doodles. The stamps names are "first taste of snow" and "snowy tree" and you can get them here at Karen's Doodle's Store. I have cut everything and layered them in the freshly fallen snow. The pattern paper is some leftover scraps.
This card is also being entered in the Karen's Doodle Challenge this week. It was for combining stamps and I thought these two pit perfectly together! There are many great stamps in the store and if you want to try the challenges, come visit the challenge blog here! Thanks for looking. I am having a blast creating winter scenes!
Have a great day everyone.

Super Saturday Sketch

I think pretty soon if I don't get the ball rolling this sketch is going to be the Tuesday sketch! This is two weeks in a row the days have been slipping by. I just don't know where the time is going to. Somehow I have to just say the heck with everything else and get down to business! There are lots of layers in this one, so if you can find some leftover scraps it will be great.
I had fun using my Karen's doodles apple of my eye stamp. I made him gray last time so I thought it would be fun to make him brown this time. This card also doubles for the Karen's doodles challenge this week. It was for a fall project and with the chill in the air, It sure feels like fall outside so it was easy to get into a fall sort of mood. The phrase was just computer generated and just a few little touches to finish it off. And you will be proud of me..I didn't use any stickles! I hope you like it. If you wish to join in the Karen's Doodles challenge this week, just click here for the challenge blog.

Mouse back to school organizer

I just picked up this new image last week at Karen's Doodles store and knew what I wanted to do with it right away. I made a few of these organizers before and love them. They are relatively easy to do too. The best part about digital stamps is you can make them any size you want. I was able to coordinate the front of the organizer and all of the cards perfectly just by changing the size. I would have done the envelopes too, but for some reason no matter how many times I tried, my printer was being difficult for printing them. They are a little plain right now, but I will give it another go tomorrow maybe..If I want to continue the fight with it :) If you love this stamp, come grab it at Karen's Doodles here..It's called apple of my eye!
I am also adding this to the doodle diva challenge this week. It's a wonderful way to just showcase your work just for fun. You can get free images too. The best thing about all of Karen's Doodles challenges, it's not always by talent, winners are also chosen by random also so you don't have to feel you need the best card to play, just have fun with it and enter..you never know, you can get a free image for your collection..And free with these hard times is the best way to stamp!!

I grabbed some of my K&Co Christmas paper stack from last year for the great pattern paper, coloured with my copics and added lots of dazzling diamonds for some sparkle. If you would like to try and win some images for yourself, head on over and try the Karen's Doodles weekly challenge here.

Happy Fall...Thank you Karen's Doodles

Where has the week gone..It's amazing how fast the days go and the weather changes. It's a nice fall day outside, but I don't think I am ready for jackets or even closed shoes!
An extra shout out to Karen's doodles this week!!!!
I am happy to use my two brand new stamps from Karen's doodles. I won the with my doodle diva challenge last week. I received them today and had to play with the of course right away. If you would love to try to win some of your own, just click here and hop over to Karens Doodles, pick out a stamp---you can even use the freebie stamp they have and make a card and enter it in the diva contest. They also have a great weekly challenge you can play along with if you wish. She has a lot of fun designs to choose from in every occasion. I am sure you will fall in love just as I have. Maybe even a chance to pick up a few free stamps if you win.

My card today is made with the cornstalk and scarecrow boy stamps. (yes, I had to buy the girl too..she was irresistible) I reversed the image on the cornstalk to make it face my scarecrow. I love how you can do that with digital images. I added some raffia on the bottom and a little piece of a floral pick. Coloured with my copics of course. I sure feels like fall outside here, it wasn't hard to find the inspiration.

Thanks for looking.

Karen's doodle day :)

I have to say, I think I have to name today Karen's doodle day. First I had the bookmark..Which has now been swiped by my oldest daughter, and now I have these two cards I did today also.
The Halloween one is for a facebook challenge card. Yes, I now have facebook. I was trying to stay away as long as I could, then all of a sudden, this fabulous image was just in my reach..You were able to get the image only if you agreed to play along in the challenge..Which I was happy to oblige :)
I am actually proud of the way the colouring turned out. I am not really so good at blacks, I either need more practice or I just need more. I only have a few black copics in each catagory. Maybe for Christmas I can put more I my list :)
I used the free image, and some K&Co scraps I had from last year. The spider is also from leftover K&Co stash. I tied him up with some black wire to give a webby kind of feel to add just a little extra touch. Copics I used were..FY1, YR15 T3,5,7 Y26,28

My happy fun school bus I couldn't resist when I saw this in Karen's Store. I didn't even think before I added it to my cart..I just knew!!! Thank you Karen for enabling me and my addiction. The paper is from a Debbie Mum paper stack. I love the colors. It's so lively getting ready for the school day! My apples and pencils are just some stickers I put on white scraps and cut around the outer edge. I added just a few little bling and ta-da..all finished. I think I might make some little cards for the teachers for Christmas with this one. Or a note pad. Since it's digital, it can be any size you wish.
Copics I used for him are:E34,35,37 R32,34,20 Y32,35,38 W1,3,5 YR16 YG25 B24 V15
If you would love one of your own, click here and head on over to Karen's doodles and grab one!!

Back to school Bookmark

Karen's Doodles challenge #26 is all about the bookmark! It has been some time since I have made one so it was a great push. I used the"reading is fun" stamp. Isn't he cute. The best part, Since it's just a few supplies, I was able to dig into my pile of scraps for this one. It's been a couple months since I have been able to pick up a book and actually read, so maybe I my new bookmark will inspire me to take a little time to myself. If I can find some that is!

Paper: Scraps
Pattern Paper: Scraps

Hang in there...

Aren't these possums just the cutest things! I love them hanging from the tree. This card just makes me happy every time I look at it. I have to figure out who could use a smile most and send it to them. How could it not brighten up their day!

Karen's Doodles challenge this week was to make a project with animals. Now knowing I just love animals, I had to find a fun stamp to use this week and this is just the perfect one. I just added a few embellishments to finish the card, but I thought not too much..I wanted to keep the attention on these little darlings! Now how come when I see them outside at night, they can't be this cute..I run VERY fast when they come across my path here!

Just another birthday

Today I bring you a couple of birthday cards I have been working on. It was nice to make some fun manly one's for a change..I don't know why those have to be so hard to make. At least for me they are! I know my mallard isn't true color, but I thought I would just play outside the box for this one..That's why we get to create it how we want right?
I played with lots of colors and different stamp companies to create each one. If you would like any further details about colors or stamps used, let me know, I will be happy to add them.
Enjoy..Have a great weekend.

Karen's Doodle Challenge 21-white on white

This weeks challenge at Karen's doodles is to make a card with white on white. You were able to use color on the image only. This was a bit of a challenge, but I had fun trying. This cutie elephant is available in the Karen's doodles online store here. You can find all kinds of fun goodies in the store. Iused just a few flowers, a strand of pearls and a love tag to finish it off. If you would like to join in any of the challenges, visit the Karen's doodles blog here.

Super Saturday Sketch # 31

Today's sketch comes just a day late because I was having a blast at CHA this weekend. Lots of goodies to see and touch and all the new toys to play with. I pick up a few goodies for myself. I will be posting some of them in the upcoming week :)

I hope you like this sketch. I used an image from Karens doodles called time for tea. Isn't it just darling. I computer generated the the saying and cut it with one of my new spellbinder dies i picked up at the show. It actually has a little extra part to it that I cut off for this project. Enjoy and as always..Leave me a link if you get a chance to make this sketch. I would love to see it.

Karen's doodles Challenge #20

This is my very first Karen's doodle challenge. This week was a sketch challenge and I just love sketches! The donkey is just adorable! I have just started my collection of the fabulous stamps so it is slowly growing. I hope to purchase some more real soon. This cute donkey is one of the freebies she has right now. It's a special release for a special crafter Michelle Oatman who has had a horrible accident and lost one of her eyes. Karen has designed this special donkey because Michelle loves them. If you wish to find out more or send Michelle a card using this donkey, You can click here to find the image and more links on Michelle's situation. Prayers are with you Michelle to make a speedy recovery and get back to the love of crafting. If you would like to try Karen's doodle challenge click here for the challenge blog.
