Graphic 45 By the Sea Mini

Hello Everyone!
I just wanted to share real quickly an album I made for a trip to Cape Cod later this year. Instead of adding a trillion pics I just shared a few of the pages and the outside view. It took a bit of time to put together but once I got going it seemed to have a great flow to it. Finished there are six pages all with pull outs and pockets.

All the papers were either from the 12x12 stack or the 8x8 stack of Graphic 45 "by the sea" collection. The ribbon was from my stash and the Charm I put together from a few sea embellishments I had all attached to a Tim Holtz ring.

Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate it!

Hello Again Crafty Friends!

I have been hiding for a couple weeks but happy to know I have been  hiding in my craft room. I have just been working on some scrapbooks and loving it since it is my first love!

In between I have made a few cards and want to share them with all of you!

I  have listed the main products under each of the photos for you just in case you get the urge to love these stamps as much as I do.

Thanks for stopping by and I can't wait to share some more creations with you. I'm still trying to catch up a bit on my scrapping but I will certainly be throwing some cards in the mix :)

Have a wonderful Weekend everyone!

Beach Bum

Hello again Bloggers!
I can hardly believe it's been an entire month since I have posted anything! I never imagined having three little grand babies in my life would just truly take it over! We threw in spring break and a couple of birthdays and it just seems like the time slipped away. I had crafted a few things here and there and working a bit on my project life in my free time but just hasn't been my usual fun in the inky world as I would like.
I just returned from a vacation to Myrtle beach with one of my daughters and best friend so I guess I am still on beach mode. My little guy was sleeping so I took the opportunity to grab up some inky fun!
My set is one of Taylored Expressions iconic cupcake stamps called beach bum. I had to pull this one out since for the last week, that was pretty much all I did was bum..It sure felt good!!!!
The cards are 4x4 and I made matching envelopes for each one. I think I may make a little box to go with them but I just ran out of time yesterday. I used copic and stampin up markers to color them. I also added some random glossy accents and glitter to make them shine..I know that part is always hard to see but I think you can make it out a bit.
I hope you enjoy the little bit of summer I shared!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Cupcakes and Sunshine

Well Hello Blogger Friends!
I know I have been missing for a while. I have been creating a little bit here and there but life has been one incredible roller coaster lately! We had the holidays and I became a Grammie again to one precious young lady! She is gorgeous and I love taking care of her and her Mommy. We cannot forget of course those two adorable grandsons I already just adore!

I have made so many crafting promises to myself for this new year and I am hoping to keep them all. First and foremost, share my love of crafting again. It has been a trying task to get everything all in a row lately and I know it just needs to be done.

I enjoyed making my November thank you cards/projects so much, I wanted to make February my birthday month. It is almost over already, but I want to try and get at least one birthday project per day. Birthdays always creep up and I love to have already made goodies to pull from :)

Today's projects are from three different stamp companies...Kraftin' Kimmie "Mae", My Favorite Things "Hello Cupcake" and an oldie but goodie from Stampin Up "Ladybug Picnic"
Another one of my goals is to pull out some of my oldies and get some new use out of them.
I used some pretty simple layouts with these just trying to make them a little easier to mail since the rates keep flying up. I'm not going to lie, I LOVE a 3D card, but there is something said for simplicity as well.

I hope you have enjoyed my quick projects today. Thanks for hanging in there and coming on by. I have a lot of ideas in my head and hope they come out on paper as I plan. One never knows :)

Share with you soon...and YES I mean it!

Pass the Sunscreen

Another 80* day here today. March in Chicago has really changed this year. I hope this doesn't mean we are going to have a cold or extra hot summer, but for now..I could use a beach and go surfing with this guy from Digi Stamp Boutique!
Enjoy your day everyone!

Super Saturday Sketch #61

Happy Saturday Bloggers!
Here is my latest addition to the super Saturday sketch! When I finished this card, I have to say, I love this sketch. It will be perfect for so many different season, occasions that I know I will be using it over and over. I love when sometimes it just works that way!
My stamp is a cute stamp from Bugaboo stamps called BCrab Tubing and I added just a cute party hat for him and a snappy birthday sentiment. I used dazzling diamonds glitter on the cloud, stickles on the water. It's hard to see, but I added some crystal effects to the tube to give it a glassy look. Enjoy and I hope you get a chance to try the sketch!
Card Recipe:
Paper: Stampin Up Real Red
Pattern Paper: DCWV Summer paper stack
Ink: Momento Black
Copic Markers: R21,22,24,267,29 Y17,15,13 B11 YG23
Misc: Dazzling Diamonds, stickles, and crystal effects

BBQ Birthday

Good afternoon blogger friends!

I know I am probably jumping the gun here with a blizzard happening right outside my window, but I just had to do it! My brothers birthday is coming up at the end of the month and I just had to make this card for him. He is a BBQ guru and I felt this image was perfect for it! Just because we are in the middle of winter, doesn't mean I can't dream about burgers and sausages right of the grill :)
The stamp is from digi stamp boutique and funny enough it's called "BBQ Jim" Funny because my brother's name is Jim. If you even look carefully at the apron, I used some rub ons and wrote the name Jim on the front :) If you love the stamp..you can find it here in the online store.
My papers are actually scraps. The base is more mustard from Stampin up. The tree is from cricut my community and the sun is just cut out with scraps. Being that it's for a guy..I was nice and only added stickles to the sun and a little gel pen for all the chrome.
Enjoy and hopefully we can have a cookout soon..I know the BBQ will be buried by morning, so not until a thaw for certain :)

Free day!

Hello everyone.

I really haven't been feeling so well today, but wanted to play. I wasn't sure what I was going to do when I sat down, but these are my two projects I wanted to share for today.

My first card I had to make. I have been wanting to make a summer card for a while now and everything else has taken over. If you have been following me, you know by now I LOVE mermaids! I am guessing why this project just fell together today. The waves and sand are just some white torn paper inked with some great beachy colors and my sun is just made from scraps. My stamp is from Pink Cat Studio. Click here for their fabulous website.

My second card is just a fun little valentine I put together from a VERY old SU set called toucan of my love. It's a fun little set to bring out this time of the year. Some of my oldies get pushed to the back sometimes so I love bringing them out. My leaves are made with my life's a beach cricut cartridge.
Well, hopefully I will feel better tomorrow and bring you a little more wow, in the meantime, enjoy..stay warm!

Happy Birthday to You

Happy Friday scrappy friends!

A little bitty birthday again today. This is a fun stamp from CC Designs that I am sure you have seen me use many times before. I love it!
I was feeling like I was missing some summer today and wanted to do something cheery and bright. I think I accomplished that. My paper is a brand new pack that hopped into my cart and thanks to my moms wallet is now in my possession. (thanks mom) It's called where the heart is by my minds eye. It's all glittery just like I like it and such fun bright colors. I know I will be using this pack over and over! I just finished it off with some primas and jewels and some SU ribbon. I hope you like it..and one more birthday card added to my pile :)

Have a fabulous weekend everyone!

Sunny Wishes!

Hello everyone on this beautiful Summer Friday night. The weather is gorgeous outside here. It's nice to just get out and enjoy the night air. This wonderful summer day was an inspiration for my card today. It's one of my Kraftin' Kimmie stamps. You can find her in the kraftin kimmie store here. Isn't she just a sweetie dancing around in her little summer hat? A lot of my papers were from scraps in a K&Co paper stack. I used my cricut to cut out the sun and top note. Coloured with my copics of course. I hope you like it. Wishing everyone bright and Sunny Wishes!

Can I just say..wow..what a neat project. For the all that scraps challenge this week I needed to make one of these box in a bag projects. I love hearing from you..

Well, This might be my last post for the rest of the week. I am taking some time this week to celebrate with friends at a scrapbook retreat. I am lucky enough to meet up a day early with one of my very best friends for a little R & R and shopping. It's going to be wonderful. I will be back Sunday just in time for father's day. I hope to have lots of projects to show you when I get back..Or maybe too much talking and giggling I won't have anything to show for it but good memories!
I just got this stamp for my birthday this weekend and I was thrilled to be able to use it! I used a sketch from ISC's sketch challenge they have this week. I hope you like it..Not too sophisticated, but it's fun! What am I going to do when summer is over and I have to put away all my summer stamps! No, I don't think that will actually happen :)

You brighten my day!

Getting to play with my Kraftin' Kimmie stamps again today! This weeks challenge was to make something beachy..I don't exactly have the beach on it..you might think I am a broken record otherwise. I thought it still fit into the catagory of beachiness. I used my nestibilities for the sun and added all the cuts for a little ray of sunshine. YOu can't see it from the photo, but I also cut apart the straw pieces on the hat to give it a straw look. If you would like to join the challenge, click here and if you would like to purchase this adorable stamp, click here for Kraftin' Kimmie's store.

This darling stamp is called Sweet Kiki La Rue. I just love her. She is one of the CC Designs collections and I got her at all that scraps. You can even get her digi if you like digi images. I was inspired by the All That Scraps challenge blog. This weeks challenge was for ribbons and buttons. It's a little hard to see my button in the photo, but I used one to adorn her headband. I decided to give the ribbon a little bit of a unique look and add the two colors offset.
