Relax the blues away!

Today I get to bring you two projects. I was up early this morning just taking my mind off things and grabbed a stamp set I hadn't used yet. I tried to use some colors that I wouldn't usually grab first. I was pleasantly surprised. I like it so much, I might have decided to give this card to my FIL for his birthday next week instead of the ship one I made earlier..

The second project of the day are some Journaling tags I made for a swap. I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with. I even remebered to make an extra. I usually forget to do that.

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Our Craft Lounge "Coastal Wishes"
Paper: Bazzil "grey"SU "cocoa" bordering blue"
"rust"
Pattern Paper: DCWV "summer glitter stack"
Ink: Momento Black
Misc: Hemp twine, watercolor pencils
Hearts were made from SU pink and tags bags boxes and more cricut. Stamp was a basic journaling stamp. Used SU french flair background stamp on the white. I masked the outside of the heart to make it fit in the heart leaving a rim.

An Apple a day

Today's creation comes from another Sugarplum stamp. I don't have too many, but the ones I have I just love. I think it is meant to be more of a fall stamp, but I changed the paper to make it more of a spring mood. I think/hope spring is coming someday. Enjoy.

Try it Tuesday..Cup Card

I was inspired by a friend who did this card a few years ago and just brought it out of hiding. I have had this tutorial in my grips for a long time and always wanted to give it a try. I figured try it tuesday was the perfect day. I think next time I might make the cup a little smaller and maybe some chunky glitter for the rim instead of beads. Other than that, it was a lot of fun to make. You can find the instructions here at splitcoast stampers.

Scraps Scraps Scraps!

Well, I looked in my craft area this morning and noticed I had quite a few scraps this past week. I decided today would be only use my scraps day. Besides one sheet for the base of one card, everything I made today was from my latest supply of scraps. I think I did pretty good and it felt good too using up some of my leftovers. I hope you enjoy them and it gives you a push to use some of your scraps too..I know you have them!

Try it Tuesday..card/photo box

I love when I find great projects that are also useful. I found this project on StampTV . It is a cute box you can use for cards, storing photos. This one I made for a friend having a birthday. I am going to make some matching note cards to go inside. I think I will even use this pattern to make recipe card gifts. It would make the perfect size..even for my own recipe box. You can change the paper for any season or holiday to make it a great year round project. I hope you get a chance to try it.

My ships has come in

This weeks challenge at ISC is to make a sailor type card without using blue or green. I think they did this on purpose because they know blue/green are my favorites.
It just so happens I was rumaging for some paper and came across this great navigational paper in my stach. I obviously forgot about it, but I am glad I found it the other day. I thought it would make the perfect birthday card for my FIL. Now one more birthday card down and out of the way.

Chipboard Challenge

As queen of the week this week at ISC my challenge for the day was to have everyone make something with chipboard. I don't utilize my chipboard as much as I should so this was a good challenge for me too. I chose to make this cute little snowman card. I think I will send it someplace warm so they get a feel what they are missing. It is snowing outside.... about 8 inches or more expected by morning and if it wasn't such fluffy snow, I would make a real one.
