Super Saturday Sketch #52

Good morning everyone. I hope everyone had a great holiday this past weekend. I had a wonderful time with my family and really had a nice break. Now back to business! I have missed all of my craft toys sooo much it sure felt good to finally sit down and craft again.

Being sketch # 52 I can't believe it has been a whole year since I started these sketches. It amazes me how time just flies by without even a blink of an eye. I sure have enjoyed them. I am not sure yet if I will continue them on a weekly basis in the new year, or just post them time to time. I like doing them weekly because they really stretch my imagination, but I don't think they have been Saturday sketches for the last few weeks due to the hustle and bustle of the holidays. If I do make them each Saturday, I think my number one goal will be to get them posted Saturday morning!!!

Today's card is a new digi image I picked up at Pink Cat Studio. I thought with all this darn cold and snow around I wanted to jump start spring just a little and I found this adorable stamp called "lily in her rain gear". You can pick her up here if you would like in this great store!!! My paper is from a great paper stack from The Paper Studio called Filosophia. I was looking for some great bright colors and came across it and it was perfect. The base is SU's regal rose. I never get tired of it!
Well, I hope you get a chance to try my sketch, as always, Feel free to leave a comment with a link to your card if you try it.

Thanks for looking!!

Super Saturday Sketches #50 and #51

Welcome to another week of sketches. I have been at father time's mercy for the last few weeks with the hustle and bustle of the holidays and haven't had time to get my blog posts up. I wanted to make sure I finished out the year with all of the sketches so you get TWO sketches today. I hope you will get a chance to try them.
My cards are embellished with some gorgeous paper from TPC Studio. It's double sided and called Holly Jolly Christmas Flurries. It is hard to see, but it all foil and just darling. My embellishments are from a pack of soft spoken embellies. I think they are just the cutest running around in all of the snow. The difference is..They are use to it..Enough cold for me already!!
I hope you enjoy the sketches this week. Next week will already be an entire year of sketches and my blog for me..How time really goes by!
Enjoy your weekend and take some time to enjoy the holidays.

It's called first snowfall and you can grab it here at the Karen's Doodles online shop! There are a lot of fun winter images if you are looking for some new designs for your collection. Take a look..you won't be disappointed.

Catching Snowflakes

Hi everyone. Today I am happy enough to bring you two projects! My second creation is this darling little girl catching snowflakes on her tongue is from Karen's doodles. The stamps names are "first taste of snow" and "snowy tree" and you can get them here at Karen's Doodle's Store. I have cut everything and layered them in the freshly fallen snow. The pattern paper is some leftover scraps.
This card is also being entered in the Karen's Doodle Challenge this week. It was for combining stamps and I thought these two pit perfectly together! There are many great stamps in the store and if you want to try the challenges, come visit the challenge blog here! Thanks for looking. I am having a blast creating winter scenes!
Have a great day everyone.

Super Saturday Sketch #48

Happy Saturday everyone! Welcome to another super Saturday sketch. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoyed some good food, family and friends. As for me, It was nice and peaceful and had a great time enjoying all the black Friday deals!
For my sketch this week, I have another long card for you today. Finished size is 8.5 x 3.75. I like this sketch because I can use some of my smaller stamps and still have a large card with it. The stamp set used is "so very" by stampin up and my papers are from a Christmas paper stack I have. I honestly cannot tell you which one because the cover is missing...Ooops! If you get a chance to try the sketch, I would love to see it. Just post a link in the comment section.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Jingle all the way!

Happy Wednesday everyone. Have we found the Christmas spirit yet? My cute little girl from Pink Cat Studio has. She is all decked out in her Christmas costume ready for some holiday magic. My card follows this weeks sketch over at ISC and it's full of layers and circles...sounds fun to me! I used some old SU DP and the cardstock is sage and bashful blue. I sure miss sage, I wish they didn't take so many colors away last time :( My stash is getting pretty thin on some of the old colors..so I may have to start hoarding some of it!
Wishing everyone a Happy Happy Turkey Day and enjoy everything you are thankful for in your life! I know I am thankful for all of my family and friends and wish everyone a wonderful day!

Ice Princess

Good morning Friends!
I hope everyone is getting into the Christmas spirit. With all of the lights up and the decorations in the stores, it's really hard not to! My card this morning comes to life from my cricut. I used the winter woodland cartridge and made this fun ice princess having a blast skating the day away. I made some bookmarks for a swap with this design and I was thrilled I had enough supplies left to make a card. DCWV Christmas stack was used for the pattern paper and SU's marina mist for the base. I added silver glitter for the skates and sparkly fluff on all the fur of my skaters coat.
Finished card size is 8 1/2 x 3 3/4
Have a great day everyone!

Super Saturday Sketch # 46

Happy weekend everyone. Sorry I didn't get this posted yesterday but the day just somehow got away from me..I am sure everyone can relate :)

I have a fun sketch for you today. My main image is really the focal point of this card and not all of the layers with it. I love how all the layers stand out on their own but don't take anything from the actual image itself.

I am not sure if it shows up well, but the card is filled with lots of glitz. I used Martha Stewart's tinsel glitter for the snow and added Dazzling diamonds to all of the fluffy parts of their coats. Super Sparkly fun :)

As for my image..It's a wonderful image from Karen's Doodles called "first snowfall". If you love it..You can click here to get it yourself. I am also entering this card in the Karen's Doodles Diva contest this period. You can win free images just by submitting your card. If you are interested in trying it out, click here and you can get directly to the doodle diva blog. Karen's doodles is full of fun designs..I hope you take the time to look at them.

Baby Day!

I spent the whole day yesterday working on a baby card and Album for my daughter to give as a gift to a new mom to be. I wish I would have photographed it out of the sleeves, but with that said, I think the photos still look pretty good. It does look way better in person though. Now off to make some more goodies for myself :)
Have a great day everyone.
