Super Saturday Sketch #68

Happy Saturday everyone!
I hope everyone is having a nice weekend so far. We finally had weather in the 70's today. Dreary and windy, but I will take 70 over 30 any day of the week!
Today's sketch is using another image from Di's Digi downloads. She is called magic wish and you can get her here! When I bought her, I thought she would be perfect for many occasions. I added a few scrolls, bling, stickles and primas to finish it off. I hope you like my sketch this week and give it a try.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone.

Have a splash!

Hey bloggers!

I so badly needed to make another beachy card today. It's just been one of those weeks and somehow when I make these cards it's almost like I can imagine me being at the beach and it really makes me feel better.

I can honestly tell you I had a lot of fun with this one. I just kept adding and adding to it. Every time I would think I was just about finished, I figured out something else I wanted to add.

It's a little hard to see but it's filled with lots of glitter and all the water has crystal effects on it to give it a shiny feel. My seashell and starfish are some cute new embellishments from jolies. I love them, but they are a little pricey so I will need to use them sparingly. My image is another digital today from Di's Digi downloads. This one is called "have a splash" and you can find her here!

I though she was perfect for my collection and of course she is mine for keeps now :)

I wish everyone a wonderful evening and a good rest of the week!

Seaside birthday

Good morning blogger friends!

I always have so much trouble coming up with any masculine birthday cards since I like to use pink so much! I was able to come up with this fun card with my favorite beach type of card :) I can't get enough of the upcoming summer season.

I love this card because it's actually simple and to the point. I love the scene and the view and really wish I could be there about now. I am so tired of cold and rain, I am wondering if summer will ever get here..I would like a little spring, but I will go right to summer if we could!

I used Stampin up night of navy and baha breeze. A little soft suede for the mat, sponged my clouds, and sea and sand and added just a little sparkle and white gel pen.

I hope everyone has a fabulous day..Enjoy!

Super Saturday Sketch #67

Happy Saturday everyone!

I am very excited to bring you this sketch today! I started to put this card together a few days ago and really didn't know what I wanted to do with it. I really didn't like it much to be honest, so I just set it aside. I decided to take it out again today and see what I could come up with and I have to tell you..I love it! All I had was basically the base before and built it up from there. I added this darling Miss Evie in wonderland image from squiggle stamps and finished it with some flowers and a little sparkle. I really love how it turned out in the end, so I am thrilled I stuck with it. Plus I have such a fun sketch out of it that I will be using in the future because it used up a lot of the paper I was working with. No leftover scraps that way :)

I hope you enjoy it and get a chance to try the sketch. If you do..Please leave me a link so I can see what you came up with!

Hopefully I can fit an Easter goodies in tomorrow, but if not..Have a wonderful Easter holiday and may you find lots of golden eggs this year!

Friends!

Good morning happy crafters!

Once again it is my day at the squiggle stamps blog! I sure can't get enough of these super fabulous stamps! This is what I totally love about digital. You can play with them and build them together and manipulate them how you would like! I used two squiggle stamps today. The happy sun stamp and squirrel picnic. I took the happy sun and printed it a couple times and enlarged one of them to layer the clouds. I coloured with my copics, sponged the sky and added a little grass. Finished it off with some glitter and a sweet sentiment from stampin up.

Enjoy everyone and head on over to the squiggles blog and see some amazing work from the rest of the design team. And don't forget this months challenge to win yourself some sweet squiggle goodies!

Have a great day everyone!

Friends and Birthdays

Good afternoon everyone!

Today was just a fun day to play with some random images. Sometimes it is nice to not have a plan when I sit down and see what my fingers turn out. The best part for me today is they turned out to be very different without even trying!

My images are from Mo's digital pencil, stampendous and Taylored expressions. Cardstock is stampin up daffodil, melon and baha blue. My pattern paper is from sizzix.

The inside of the shell card says "I love hearing from you"

I hope everyone had a great Monday! Tomorrow is a crazy day for me, I hope I get some good crafting time in!

Super Saturday Sketch #66

Good morning bloggers and happy Saturday!

I am thrilled to bring you today's sketch because it is the first time I have been able to post anything in a week. It felt good to get back into my crafting supplies and create :)

Today I am using up some supplies I had left from a swap I did last week. The paper is super cute paper from K&Co called Poppy seed and my stamp is "magnolia's Tilda and puppy" My sentiment stamp is just one of those cutie dollar stamps I tend to pick up..too many times! They are perfect for those smaller sentiments.

Coloured with copics BV00,02,08 / Rv21,23,25 / E00,11 / YR 24,21, and Y11. I added ribbon, primas and some punched out leaves. Can't forget the bling!

Here is the bonus card I was able to make using the same supplies. I am getting much better at using up my scraps while I still have them out. Hopefully I can dig into my scrap pile more often to use some of them up.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!! Hopefully I will get a lot more crafting in this week. I really want to try a few projects.

Squiggles cupcake

Hello everyone! One more day til the weekend!!!! I am so excited it's Thursday for two reasons..One, it's one day closer to Friday and two, it's my day to post over at the squiggles blog!

Today I am using one of the new orange bird studio designs "candle cupcake".

I must say I am very excited about the whole new set of digis. I wanted to play around with the new cupcake stamp because this month Squiggle Stamps is running their challenge with anything cake! How yummy is that! Your chance to win some free goodies from the squiggle stamps store.

My paper is from a 6x6 paper pack from Bo Bunny ad lib collection. I also used stampin up baha breeze, wasabi and daffodil. Can you believe I finally made a card without any main pink :) I did manage to fit some on with the sprinkles! If you get a chance, come on over to the squiggle stamps blog and try your hand at one of the challenges or just look at all the eye candy submitted by the fabulous design team!

Baby onsie cards

Hi everyone. I everyone is having an enjoyable week thus far! I have been having fun creating these cute little onsie cards for a friend of mine. She needed some baby cards for her collection and I thought these were fun little boy cards to keep on hand. They are too cute! The striped card is just made with some DCWV paper and added a little pre-made sailboat embelishment. The white one is from a stampin up set bundle of joy. I hope you like them..I will leave a quick tutorial below just in case you would like to try one for yourself. I hope they are clear enough.

1. Trim cardstock tfor card 4 1/4 x 11

2. Score at 5 1/2 to make card

3. Punch with 1 3/8 punch half circle for collar

4. Measure down from top on each side 1 3/4 inches (mark)

5. Measure across from previous mark 3/4 inches (mark)

6. Trim with scissors or craft knife from inside mark to bottom corner of card. (both sides)

7. Using 1 3/8 punch, make leg holes (trim a little off bottom to make crotch even)

8. cut from cardstock 3 circles with 1 3/8 inch punch

9. using scallop circle punch, punch around circle cutouts to make scallop trim (3 times)

10. adhere trim to collar and leg holes and trim excess

Super Saturday Sketch #65

Happy Saturday everyone!

Today's sketch is filled with a bunch of layers again. This darling stamp is from Stampin up and I just got it last week. It's called "kimono kids" and I knew it was a must play with right away :) I was placing just a regular paper order and browsing through the catalog..Don't know how I missed it, but now it's mine!!!

My paper is a DCWV mat stack called far east. I love paper stacks for smaller cards. They fit just perfect and all of them coordinate with each other so I don't have to dig for matching papers! I just added some scrap ribbon and a few little touches of bling to finish it off. Super easy today!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone and as always, I would love to see your take on the sketch if you get to try it.
