A little Thanks

Scraps Scraps Scraps!!!!

I can't tell you how happy I was to make this project. Remember that Christmas advent tree I made a few months ago? I made three of them altogether for my girls and grand babies and I will tell you they left me with (75) 4 x 8 1/2 inch pieces of paper. I couldn't just throw them away, that would be a sin!

I finally was able to sit down and think of something I wanted to do with them. Somehow these 3x3 note cards with envelopes made their way into my heart. I used a simple heart punch with the "one big meaning" set from Stampin Up.

The box probably took the most time seeing I had to think about measurements and its been a really long day and thinking was probably not one of my biggest priorities! Somehow, with ONLY one messed up piece of card stock I managed to get it right :)

Hopefully with a few more hours left in me for the evening I can maybe spice up another card or two. You never know considering I can easily spend two hours or more on a single card!!! I do have plenty more of these scraps so I am guessing another boxed set is in my future as well...Maybe I should keep my notes on the box this time so no more major  thinking is involved!!!

Thanks as always for stopping by!

Winter gift set

Hello again everyone!
I just love making special everyday gifts for friends and this one is going to my dear friend Patty who lives on the other end of the country. I love making these organizers especially and I haven't made one for a while, so it was great to slip in a little extra time today and finish it.
My papers are DCWV winter wonderland stack and Crumb cake from Stampin up. I also used one of my favorite little Christmas sets "Merry & Bright". It's just one of those little sets I grab all the time. I have had it for many years and love it!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful week and have gotten over your candy hangovers by now. I have a little one home sick so maybe a little more time tomorrow to add some fun goodies.

Valentine goodies!

Happy Valentine's day Bloggers!!!
I hope everyone's love is giving them a special day today! My wonderful hubby gave me some beautiful flowers and we are headed out to lunch soon.
My girls were surprised this morning with these super fab Chinese gift boxes I made for them. All five boxes were decorated the same on the outside but embellished with a different valentine each on top. They were some cute Bo Bunny cut outs I picked up last year and I thought they would be fun to add to their boxes. Inside of course they are filled with yummy treats, lip gloss, little presents and their favorite..a $5 Starbucks gift card.
I think most of them were excited..some I think were still sleepy and getting ready for school. I think 6:45 to catch a bus on a Monday morning is not their favorite thing to do :)
It's so much fun having 5 daughters..I don't think boys would appreciate it the same way!
Have a wonderful day everyone!!!!!!

I just used some paper scraps and K&Co 3D embellishments to finish them off. Super simple..The best kind!

Mouse back to school organizer

I just picked up this new image last week at Karen's Doodles store and knew what I wanted to do with it right away. I made a few of these organizers before and love them. They are relatively easy to do too. The best part about digital stamps is you can make them any size you want. I was able to coordinate the front of the organizer and all of the cards perfectly just by changing the size. I would have done the envelopes too, but for some reason no matter how many times I tried, my printer was being difficult for printing them. They are a little plain right now, but I will give it another go tomorrow maybe..If I want to continue the fight with it :) If you love this stamp, come grab it at Karen's Doodles here..It's called apple of my eye!
I am also adding this to the doodle diva challenge this week. It's a wonderful way to just showcase your work just for fun. You can get free images too. The best thing about all of Karen's Doodles challenges, it's not always by talent, winners are also chosen by random also so you don't have to feel you need the best card to play, just have fun with it and enter..you never know, you can get a free image for your collection..And free with these hard times is the best way to stamp!!

Card organizer

This week at the All that Scraps challenge blog they challenged me to anything but a card. I saw this fun tutorial over at splitcoast stampers for a card organizer box and decided it would be fun to try it. It was really easy and didn't take much paper at all. I used DCWV linen closet pack (it's nice and sturdy) and adorned it with this cute CC Designs digi stamp called flower turtle. You can find it here in the all that scraps store. I couldn't resist this cute little turtle when I saw him. If you are interested in any of the All that Scraps challenges, just click here to head on over to the blog. This organizer fits A2 cards..I think I will try and make a few different sizes.

Forever Firends

Today I have a multi part project to share. I was making a box for a friend and added the tag. I had some leftover scraps so I decided to make a fun card with them. It was really nice to use up some scraps while they were still sitting in front of me. Maybe I should take a lesson from today and do it more often.
I used this sweet Swiss pixie Ladybug Nora stamp from CC Designs. Isn't she just the cutest thing. If you would like to pick her up, click here for the all that scraps store. You can get her in both digi and rubber! Just a few dabs of dazzling diamonds glitter on her wings to finish it off. Enjoy and have a fabulous weekend.
Card Recipe:
Paper: SU black, White
Pattern Paper: My Minds Eye
Copic Markers: R29,20 T3,5,7 E00,11,25,29,31

Teacher gifts are finished and delivered!

These are just a few of the teacher gifts I made this year. I made note card sets and wrapped them up with ribbon and gave them to the teachers. The pen flower pot pen holder looks much better in person. It went to the principal. She is leaving our school after 6 years. I have them all delivered and they loved them all. I may have to start thinking of Christmas gifts early and work on those earlier in October or November..I really came down to the wire this year! Enjoy.

Wedding Note Cards

A friend needed some note cards she wanted to give at a shower for two. I did the same card and just changed the hair and the card background. One is in pink and the other in a plum. I did 8 cards in each set.
I wish you could see in real like, the dress is highlighted in a jelly roll glitter pen and looks just beautiful. I hate when you can't really see the true creation, but I loved the cards anyway.
Card Recipe:
Stamps: Mo's digital Pencil Bride and groom
Paper: SU going Gray, Mauve, Pretty in Pink
Copic Markers: E00,35,37,44,47 Y23, R20,81,85 V95 N0,3,5,7
Misc: Jellyroll pen stardust

Try it Tuesday..Note Card Holder

This one was a lot of fun and super easy. Over at ISC one of our crafter friends posted a great tutorial on how to make this fabulous note card holder. Click here to try it. For mine, I used one of my fun paperstacks called songbird. I used one of the sheets and cut all the birds out with a circle punch. Then I just coordinated all my colors together. I added the word smile to my envies just to make them a little more exciting! I also had to add stickles..I am not sure if I can do a project without stickles. I think next time I might add a little to the inside just to make it fun.
I think I might be making a couple these for end of year teacher gifts. It's almost the end of school and I haven't even given it much thought yet. I hope you get a chance to try it.

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Our craft lounge Anna Mae
Paper: SU white, Guava, river rick, soft sky, blue bayou
Pattern Paper: DCWV paper stack..Songbird
Ink: Guava, river rock, blue bayou
Misc: SU bermuda bay ribbon, stickles, eyelets

The last of the Bunch...

These are the final cards for my friends gift box. I loved the flower pot card and just had to include one of those. I changed up the colors and really like how it turned out. I hadn't used the Changito monkeys yet, and I really love them. The bling I had for the bubbles I found in the dollar spot at Michaels a while back and knew I would have the perfect project for them. I can't wait to find another project to use them on..I just love how bubbly they are! The bird..yes..I had to use the bird punch again! I think I am addicted to it. I hope they have some more fun punches like this in the new catty in July. Enjoy!

A crafty day!

I have been a very busy crafter today. Besides my Try it Tuesday I made some sweet little valentine boxes for two special valentines with my cricut and 13 valentines for a swap. The few shown are just some of the cards. The journal I actually made the other day and just wanted to share. I hope you enjoy them all.
