Super Saturday Sketch #44

Welcome everyone to another "Super Saturday Sketch". This was a fun sketch I was able to bring you two cards with today. I just happen to have some paper left over and decided to use the scraps to make an extra card. Lucky for me, now I have two more Christmas cards for my collection this year. Slowly but surely they will all be finished!

I really like this sketch because you can interpret the image area any way you choose. You can add some embellishments as I did or add a stamped image to it if you would like. It's totally up to you, but I love the way all of the shapes intertwine with each other. Have fun with it!

Paper is from DCWV winter wonder stack. The tree embellishment is from my stash. Not sure of the maker. The boy is made from my sizzix with winter clothes set. Snowflakes are brads and punches.

Think Pink

I finished my first ATC swap last week and I wasn't sure what I really should do with it. I decided I can't just admire it, so I decided to make a card with it. I added some matching paper and mounted the ATC on the front and simple as can be..A fun card. I did all the hard work making the ATC, so it was nice to just assemble. The theme was girl power and I decided to use this wonderful image from "bugaboo stamps" I figured with it being October..breast cancer awareness month, I had to use the ultimate women power.

Card Recipe:
Paper: Su "melon mambo" and "pretty in pink"
Pattern Paper: The paper studio "pink and white hearts"
Ink: pretty in pink
Copic Markers: Y23,18 YR 23 E35,11,00 R20,21,22 RV11
Misc: Dazzling diamonds glitter, pink bling

Mish Mash day!

I just thought I would share a few cards I was making for my daughter. She needed some cards for events coming up and she wanted me to make them for her. Isn't she just the sweetest thing wanting to share my love with her friends :)

I just love the image of the boy playing video games..It's for a 17 year old boy and it's soooo much like them.
The wedding and video boy are both from Mo's digital pencil shop and The cowboy is one of Pink cat studio's designs. Enjoy

Super Saturday Sketch #43

Happy Saturday everyone. I hope everyone is having a fantabulous weekend so far. I am having a nice weekend playing with all of my crafting goodies.

Today's sketch is fun with circles again. I am loving all the whimsy of playing with circles. This is actually a pretty simple design, it is all what you add to it. My creation is made with K&Co paper mat stacks and some puffy stickers from K&Co too. I love the way all of the different patterns I used in this card. Just a few extras goes a long way here. The clouds were made with a sponge and a scallop circle for the template..Misplaced my cloud template, but I think it worked out well anyway.
Enjoy and have a wonderful rest of the weekend.

Halloween Greeting

Good morning everyone. Today's creation is brought to you with my other Halloween image from Pink Cat Studio designs. Isn't she just too adorable! Her name is "Betty standing on broom" and you can get her here in the pink cat studio's online store. I just love these designs and I know you will too. She is sooo much fun to color too. Betty's smile just is so sweet, who could be afraid of a witch when you smile like that! The poor kitty better hold on though. He looks like he is just about to fall off!
Of course I had to add lots of bling to this one. My gems, dazzling diamonds on the broom and wand and my black dots are just a souffle pen. Enjoy everyone..and have a fabulous day!

So grateful

I just wanted to share a fun card I made for one of my daughter's basketball coaches. I made a set of thank you cards for her as an end of season gift. I used a stamp from CC Designs over at all that scraps. I have used this image many times and love this little guy. Also it's one of my favorite layouts, I like to use up some of my scraps with it. Anytime I can use up my scraps..I am happy! It's a fun layout with lots of layers...and I love layers :) I hope you like it! Enjoy!
Have a fabulous day everyone!

Super Saturday Sketch #42

Okay...I have to tell you first..I found a fabulous new digi stamp company (new for me anyway) ..I was looking around and boy what a find for me..The most darling stamps. The company is pink cat studio..You can check them out here and see all of the darling images they carry. I haven't looked through them all yet, but I can see a few more coming my way..I saw a few holiday ones I want right away!
As for my sketch..I wanted to play off of circles today. I thought they would be fun with the roundness of the brewing pot. I wanted to make my sample with not too much added, but I am going to do another with a little more bling to liven it up. I just wanted to show a simple sample for everyone who is at any level. I hope you enjoy the sketch this week and have another fabulous weekend.

Snow Place like Home

WooHoo! Another holiday card finished for this year. I love staying on task with these so I don't have a rush at the end of the year :)
Today's creation is part of a My Craft Lounge set called "snow place like home" I love this little penguin and how happy he is to just be livin' the life in the cold. The paper is some scraps I ran through my cuttlebug snowflake folder and some white scraps for the extra snow. All of the stamped pieces were cut out and layered in different levels to make it have a 3D effect. It's a lot better in person! Of course..I had to decorate the igloo with dazzling diamonds glitter. How are you doing on your Holiday cards this year?

Let's Chat~Fall Magic

I have been spending the day in my little corner crafting away. It sure feels good to have some "me" time today :)
I have two cards with completely different themes. My "Lets Chat" card was soo much fun to make. I love when I can make complete scene cards. Took me a few hours when it was all finished, but it was nice to sit and create it step by step. I used a simple white card and added clouds and the grass. I used my cricut for the fence and tree "My Community Cartridge". My stamp is from Squiggle stamps called "chatty girl". Coloured her with my copics, cut her out and pop dotted her on. I used an expression from Taylored expressions and just hand cut the sun rays and used a circle punch.
My pattern tree paper was super cute from my imagininse stack. The tree itself is from a stampin up mini stack. My fence is made from paper made from real birch wood. It was my first try at it and it went through my cricut with ease.
My second card was just a fun fall card made with some scraps. I used stampin up set seasonal whimsy and just added a few leaves to fill it in. I hope you like them.. :)

Super Saturday Sketch # 41

Happy Saturday everyone! It's time for another sketch. A little more simple than the last few with less layers. I had fun adding a few extra embellishments to give my card a little more depth, so feel free to add to your version too. That is the best part about sketches. I think if you have a basic layout, you can build upon it however works for you. I love this about crafting. Since it comes from your imagination, it always has a little bit of you in it. I hope you get a chance to try this weeks sketch. If you do, as always, leave a comment with your link. I would love to see it. Have a wonderful rest of the weekend!

Super Saturday Sketch

I think pretty soon if I don't get the ball rolling this sketch is going to be the Tuesday sketch! This is two weeks in a row the days have been slipping by. I just don't know where the time is going to. Somehow I have to just say the heck with everything else and get down to business! There are lots of layers in this one, so if you can find some leftover scraps it will be great.
I had fun using my Karen's doodles apple of my eye stamp. I made him gray last time so I thought it would be fun to make him brown this time. This card also doubles for the Karen's doodles challenge this week. It was for a fall project and with the chill in the air, It sure feels like fall outside so it was easy to get into a fall sort of mood. The phrase was just computer generated and just a few little touches to finish it off. And you will be proud of me..I didn't use any stickles! I hope you like it. If you wish to join in the Karen's Doodles challenge this week, just click here for the challenge blog.

Dog treat box

This week on Mo's challenge blog we were asked to Alter an item. I have these wonderful doggie treats I make for my dogs --they love them, may I add---and I wanted to make a fun box to keep them in. I used Mo's fall pup image and coloured with my copics of course. The paper is from a great pet stack from DCWV. I added a few fall leaf embellishments and a little bt of raffia around the outer edges of the box. I just used some simple stickers for the workd treats and all finished :) Enjoy and have a wonderful day everyone.
If you are interested in the recipe for the treats..Here ya go!
1/2 cup water
3TBSP peanut butter
1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
Preheat oven to 350*. Mix all ingredients. Spread dough and cut into shapes ( I found a great dog bone shape cutter at hobby lobby). Bake 30 minutes or until lightly browned.
