Sweet baby girl

Today's card is inspired by an old friend who just had her second baby girl. I wanted to make a very girly card and I think that I did accomplish today.

This image from Mo's digital too is popping up over an over for me this week. It probably looks familiar since I just used it last week also. Another thing that looks familiar? The sketch..I used my sketch challenge this week for this card too! I love the sketch and I think I will be using it over and over again. I like how it mixes and matches the papers and gives the card lots of dimension.

I am also entering this card in Mo's weekly challenge..It's all about the bling. You know I love my glitter and bling! If you would like to join in, come visit Mo's blog here. Today is the last day for the bling challenge, but there will be a new one posted soon.

Super Saturday Sketch #39

Well, It's now Tuesday and I realized this weekend was so crazy I never did a sketch for this week. I guess that means it's a little late, but it's not next Saturday yet, so I think I am okay.

My sketch this week is full of layers and different sizes. I used one of my favorite SU sets, Polar Pals. I have had it for many years and use it every winter. I hope you get a chance to try it, It's great for smaller images and still having the chance to fill up the page.

Enjoy.

Mouse back to school organizer

I just picked up this new image last week at Karen's Doodles store and knew what I wanted to do with it right away. I made a few of these organizers before and love them. They are relatively easy to do too. The best part about digital stamps is you can make them any size you want. I was able to coordinate the front of the organizer and all of the cards perfectly just by changing the size. I would have done the envelopes too, but for some reason no matter how many times I tried, my printer was being difficult for printing them. They are a little plain right now, but I will give it another go tomorrow maybe..If I want to continue the fight with it :) If you love this stamp, come grab it at Karen's Doodles here..It's called apple of my eye!
I am also adding this to the doodle diva challenge this week. It's a wonderful way to just showcase your work just for fun. You can get free images too. The best thing about all of Karen's Doodles challenges, it's not always by talent, winners are also chosen by random also so you don't have to feel you need the best card to play, just have fun with it and enter..you never know, you can get a free image for your collection..And free with these hard times is the best way to stamp!!

I made a wish and YOU came true

Hi everyone. I hope you are having a wonderful week so far. I made this card out of pure fun. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do today and found this adorable image sitting on my craft desk. I figured it was the perfect image to make today. I also found this perfect saying in a little paper pack for a baby girl and it fit just amazing. It's also my very first attempt at dark hair. I think I still need a little practice, but I find no problems with making more goodies to try it. I love to learn new tricks all the time and it amazes me what a little practice will do for some wonderful projects. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Happy Halloween

Same stamp way different outcome. I was able to sit and play for quite some time today and had a wonderful time doing it. I used my darling Halloween Emma stamp from CC Designs to make this fab Halloween card. I used an accesories set to fill in the background with some simple making techniques and airbrushed the nighttime sky. I love making scene cards when I can focus the entire card on the images alone and not worry about the layout of the card as much. I think there are so many gorgeous stamps out there and they really need the focus. It cetainly felt good to actually enjoy a little crafting time in another busy week. I really have to put my life back on a normal schedule and all will work out great. Enjoy!

Super Saturday Sketch #38

Welcome to another Super Saturday Sketch everyone. This week is another Halloween card with not too many layers. Its a nice simple layout to follow. I wanted to make something I could use up some scraps and this is what came about of it. I love that it is simple enough if you need to make a lot of cards at a time you can add a little extra pizazz to it with just a few touches. I think some of my holiday cards this year might just be made using this sketch. Have a great weekend everyone, I hope you get a chance to try my sketch.

Friendship

Happy Hump Day everyone. The weekend is coming just around the corner! I certainly am looking forward to a little R&R myself! This card I started on Sunday night and just was able to finish it today..Life somehow takes over and really cuts into my scrapping time. That really has to change..I think house cleaning must come second for now on!
For my card today, I have to say..It's made completely with scraps. From the actual image..I printed two last time to all of the papers. I really love this stamp from CC Designs. It's one I reach for over and over. The sentiment is from the underwater sentiments set and it always fits in perfectly.
I wish everyone a fabulous day!

Super Saturday Sketch #37

Welcome to another addition of Super Saturday sketch. I hope you have had a nice relaxing weekend so far. It is beautiful outside here in Chicagoland and it's a shame it's not going to last. Before I know it, there will be those pesky snowflakes lining up on my sidewalk! I am going to try and squeeze a little more summer out and enjoy it while I can!
I pulled out one of my favorite Stampin Up sets for today's sketch. Pretty Princess is probably one of the first sets I ever owned, so when I play with it, it reminds me of how I got started with just a little hobby and now it has turned into quite the adventure. I would change it for anything though! I am loving every moment of it.
As always, please leave a comment if you get a chance to use my sketch this week. I would love to see what you come up with.

Happy Fall...Thank you Karen's Doodles

Where has the week gone..It's amazing how fast the days go and the weather changes. It's a nice fall day outside, but I don't think I am ready for jackets or even closed shoes!
An extra shout out to Karen's doodles this week!!!!
I am happy to use my two brand new stamps from Karen's doodles. I won the with my doodle diva challenge last week. I received them today and had to play with the of course right away. If you would love to try to win some of your own, just click here and hop over to Karens Doodles, pick out a stamp---you can even use the freebie stamp they have and make a card and enter it in the diva contest. They also have a great weekly challenge you can play along with if you wish. She has a lot of fun designs to choose from in every occasion. I am sure you will fall in love just as I have. Maybe even a chance to pick up a few free stamps if you win.

My card today is made with the cornstalk and scarecrow boy stamps. (yes, I had to buy the girl too..she was irresistible) I reversed the image on the cornstalk to make it face my scarecrow. I love how you can do that with digital images. I added some raffia on the bottom and a little piece of a floral pick. Coloured with my copics of course. I sure feels like fall outside here, it wasn't hard to find the inspiration.

Thanks for looking.

Super Saturday Sketch #36

You're the pick of the patch. I just love this Emma stamp by CC Designs. She is so sweet with her little wagon filled with a giant pumpkin. I airbrushed the background and colored it with a combo of copics and stampin up markers. The paper is from a fall stack I had hiding in my closet, LOts of good stuff in there. Sometimes I forget.

I went outside my comfort zone today and used lots of colors I don't usually use and I think they turned out great together. Its a pretty simple design with lots of embellishments to sparkle up the card today. I hope you like the sketch this week and as always, leave me a link if you get a chance to do this weeks sketch. I would love to see what you came up with.

Kraftin Kimmie..Pearls

Did you ever have one of those mornings you just really wish you could sleep in just a little longer? My precious Barney (my dog) decided at 3:30am, he was going to start scratching and not stop for almost an hour. It's allergy season for him, so I give him a little leeway, but..at that point, who can sleep. The house is quiet, and I can't go back to sleep, so we create right?
I made this card for the Kraftin Kimmie Pearls challenge. We just needed to use pearls, so I had to pull out the mermaids of course. I added pearls to her headband ad as accents..Just for more bling factor. I used some of my bazzil scraps and went for more of a monochromatic look today. I hope you like her. Have a wonderful Friday everyone. It's a super busy one for me!
