Window to the world

Good morning everyone. I wanted to share a fun card I made this weekend. This one was lot of fun to make. A little timely, but the effort was well worth it when I finished :)

I used a Stampin Up set called "window dressing". It's actually the first time I have even used it..Very sad..It was sitting in the back of the pile not even mounted yet! I am so happy I came across it though..I loved playing with it!

For my background I scored the brick lines then sanded the cardstock to make the white show through. My fence is a Martha Stewart punch and fiskars grass punch. I coloured at cut my windows out and added some extra shutters for a 3D look. My flower pot is just a dimensional sticker I had in my stash!

Card Recipe:

Stamps: Stampin UP "window dressing" Paper: SU "brocade blue" "wild wasabi" DCWV light brown and various brown scraps

Ink: Momento Black

Copic Markers: W1,3,5,7 R35,32,20 E00,11,44,42,41 Y15,17

Misc: Jolee's and punches

Super Saturday Sketch #64

Hi everyone. Welcome to this weeks Super Saturday Sketch!
I missed last week since I was away, so I will add another sketch maybe later if I get a chance so we can have two sketches this week :)
I have quite a few layers to this card. I use some basic grey papers and a stampin up set vases in vogue. The cardstock is Stampin up pretty in pink and cool Caribbean..so sad.. I am running out of this retired color :( only a few pieces left! I used a Martha Stewart border punch and added some bling to finish it off.
Bonus cards..With my scraps I made these two other cards below. Just some fun simple cards with the same supplies :) This first one is a window and the image is on the inside of the card..It's just hard to see :) The second I use a take on this weeks sketch.

Life is the song

Hello everyone! Long time no craft!
It's spring break here at the Pielmeier house, so between day trips and long weekends in the city, there hasn't been much time for crafting. Today was going to be that day, but somehow it turned into another day that just ran out of time.
I do have a couple of cards I was able to finish today.
The first one is a cutie pie stamp by Di's Digi Downloads. I actually kept the card pretty simple by adding some pretty papers and some photo corners. Just a touch of bling but not too much :) I know..not too much? That is odd for me!

My second card today is my Design Team card over at squiggle stamps blog! I posted another project using this stamp just a few weeks ago, but It's too darn cute not to play with it again. I actually went of of my usual colour category and tried to make it just a little different! If you love the stamp, head on over to the squigggle stamps online store and grab one for yourself. they have it in both digi and rubber! And don't forget..your chance to win some free goodies by doing the March spring challenge.
I hope you enjoyed my projects today. Hopefully tomorrow, I can get crackin on a few new ideas I have been wanting to try :)

Easter Wishes :)

TGIF!!!!!
I am so glad it's Friday! I haven't been able to craft the last few days because I have been busy doing a little organization. I still have a long way to go, but I have been doing a little each day. I have started with organizing all of my ribbon which has been a chore all of it's own :) I have been winding it on floss bobbins and putting them in storage containers so I can see everything at a glance. I still have a lot of winding to do, and color coordinate them when I am finished. I am going to be thrilled when I can see everything all at once instead of trying to dig for the right ribbon.
As for my card today..I thought I would make a fun little Easter card. I figured we are done with St Patty's day, so we needed to move on to the next holiday. Plus I couldn't resist this cutie of a stamp from pink cat studio called "Easter Lily". Isn't that just the cutest name to go along with the cutie stamp? You can get one for yourself if you just click here for the pink cat studio store!
My papers are some of my scraps I had from last week..still doing good there..and I just added a few little Easter egg stickers I had in my stash..They may be a little big proportionately, but I thought they were still too cute anyway!
Well, enjoy the card and I wish everyone a safe and happy weekend!

Scrappy day

Hi everyone..
Today's goal was to use up some of my scraps..Actually I think it is my goal for the rest of the week. I just have so many piling up and really need to get to them before it really gets out of hand. If I would just learn to stop making one card at a time, that would help, but some days just get so interrupted, that is all I have time for :( I need a happy scrappy day to just sit and play with all the scraps!
I pulled out some of my oldies for these two projects. Both are from Stampin up "a good egg" and "girlfriends". I just have a few little pieces of these papers left..I wonder if I can try to get another one out of it :)
I hope everyone had a wonderful day and has an even better evening!

The little things

Hi everyone..
The weekend has come and gone in a jiffy once again. Good thing another one will come in just a few more days!
My card today is just a fun little card with some scraps and one of my Squiggle digis called squirrel picnic..aren't they cute just sitting and enjoying what must be some nice quality time together.
If you like this stamp, you can pick it up at the squiggle stamps store. Your choice..rubber or digital..Just click here to get yours. I just finished it off with a little sentiment from Stampin up.. and added a little bow. It was nice to play today even if it was only for a little while.
Have a good evening everyone!

Seaside birthday

TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I need say no less! I am so happy it's finally the weekend! I hope everyone will make it the best ever!
My card today is kind of a wish of mine. I wish I could be this guy sitting on the dock listening to the seagulls and smelling the wonderful smells of the ocean..yup..I love that smell and have to say, I really miss it sooooo much! Someday I will get back to the beach, not sure when, but some day!
The stamp I used today is from CC Designs called "Sailor Trevor" and I also used the "dock" digi and merged them. If you are interested, you can grab them here at the all that scraps online store.
My cardstock is from Stampin Up "marina mist" and "soft suede" and my pattern paper is some older paper I had from Rob and Bob. I colored it all with my copics and added some distressed stickles and some crystal effects on the water to give a glossy look.
Enjoy the card everyone and best wishes for a safe and fabulous weekend!

Friends are flowers!

Hello everyone!
I hope everyone is seeing spring fall into their neighborhoods or maybe just a few signs to see the hope coming? Its still a little cold here, but each day brings us closer to those 100* days in the summer :)
It's Thursday so that means it's my turn to post for the Squiggles Blog! They are having a special spring contest, so I figured I just had to push spring along a little. My stamp..Yes..isn't she cute..is called "Sunny flower girl" You can pick it up here in rubber and here in digital if you need some instant gratification!
My paper is some sweet spring paper I picked up recently from American Crafts. My cardstock Is from Stampin Up..turquoise and daffodil, and I have added some ribbon also from Stampin Up. My quote is just computer generated.

Super Saturday Sketch #62

Happy Saturday!
Today's addition to the super Saturday sketch has lots of layer! I had a lot of fun playing with some paper I had stashed on the bottom of a pile. I couldn't decide which one to use, so I just decided to use a few different patterns..I just love paper :)
My image is from CC Designs called "nurse Nora" I decided to color her in non traditional nurse colors just for fun! I added some ribbon, silk flowers and a touch of sparkle all around. I hope you get a chance to try the sketch this week, as always if you do, leave me a link so I can see what you have come up with!
Have a great day everyone!

Bubbles and birthdays!

Hi everyone and VERY happy Friday to all of you!
I couldn't be more thrilled that it is Friday today. This weeks has just been one of those weeks! I was so happy to sit down and just play and have fun making something different.
My first card is made with some new paper I picked up yesterday from "my minds eye". It's from a 6x6 paper stack from the Stella Rose collection. It was finally the perfect size paper pack so I don't have too many scraps leftover! May I also add double sided... score!
My stamp is an old stamp I had of those adorable changito monkeys..I don't know what it is, but I can never get enough of them :) I added some fun little rain bling just to finish off my card.
My second card is an easel card. I decided I wanted to try a scalloped circle easel this time. Once we moved passed all of the work on the image, it was actually quite simple to make. Even shocked myself! The image itself is one of CC Designs and she is called "cupcake Kiki" I added my sentiment to the inside middle for the base holder and punched a cutie cupcake...all decked out with glitter of course! I have no idea what paper it is..just one of those paper mat stacks..the cover fell off so long ago, but I am guessing it's DCWV. I just realized today those are the perfect size stacks to fit the large scallop..bonus for me..It only took a few years.
Well I wish everyone a happy and safe weekend and hope you can make it back tomorrow for the next super Saturday sketch!

Flower girl birthday

Hi everyone..
It's been a few days since I have been able to get any craft time in. It's just been one of those weeks when you need to take care of everything and it takes up the whole day! Today, I was finally able to sit down and make this fun card for all of you.
I used another super fab stamp from Squiggle Stamps. She is called "Miss Ruby Roses" Just click on the link and get one for yourself if you like her! I figured with the skull and cross bones in her hair, I had to make her all rock star princess! I really need to get some bold color papers though. This was some leftover Valentine scraps I had. I realized..I have a lot of pastels in my house! Maybe another shopping trip and think outside the box while I am there. I am sure there are many papers I have just walked passed not even realizing I would love them too!
Just a few primas and stickles finished off my card today.
Enjoy and I hope you feel inspired to try something new today!

Wild about you!

Good afternoon all!!!

I made this one yesterday but never got it up. Very little supplies to make this one. My background was a new sizzix folder I picked up this weekend..It had zebra stripes in it too :)
My leopard is just a 3D sticker I had. Very strange colors for me to use, but I love it!
Have a good rest of the afternoon.

Just Chicken In!!!

Hello and Happy Thursday!
One more day to go til the weekend!!! Yeah!!!!!!
Today is my day to post for the design team over at squiggle stamps! This is one of their brand new images called "feed the birds" I just love it! I have a feeling I will be able to do all sorts of fun projects with this one! If you love it, you can pick up a digital copy here in the Squiggle Stamps store! Love shopping for digital stamps. You buy them and get to use them right away..No waiting for them to be delivered :)
My papers are some super old scraps from provo craft pack river rock. This paper has been stashed for quite a while and I love the country look of it and thought it would be perfect. I am totally almost out of it, and I am thinking it's not available any longer, but I will have to look...oh does that mean craft shopping???
I sponged the ground and the sky and added stickles of course to make it sparkle. My sun is just some scraps and popped up.

Valentine goodies!

Happy Valentine's day Bloggers!!!
I hope everyone's love is giving them a special day today! My wonderful hubby gave me some beautiful flowers and we are headed out to lunch soon.
My girls were surprised this morning with these super fab Chinese gift boxes I made for them. All five boxes were decorated the same on the outside but embellished with a different valentine each on top. They were some cute Bo Bunny cut outs I picked up last year and I thought they would be fun to add to their boxes. Inside of course they are filled with yummy treats, lip gloss, little presents and their favorite..a $5 Starbucks gift card.
I think most of them were excited..some I think were still sleepy and getting ready for school. I think 6:45 to catch a bus on a Monday morning is not their favorite thing to do :)
It's so much fun having 5 daughters..I don't think boys would appreciate it the same way!
Have a wonderful day everyone!!!!!!
