Let it snow

Let it SNOW!

I know I really shouldn't say that by looking outside but I guess sometimes you just have to go with it! As I was shoveling all of our snow the other morning, I just felt I needed to make a sweet snowman. It was very odd, just me, 7am and everyone in the house sound asleep. I still just had to let the kid in me out while it was still pretty warm out there! We had a ton more snow the rest of the day so he is now covered and looks nothing like he did when I made it. It was fun while it lasted and I can only hope that is the last big snowfall for a while!

As for my card, My stamp is Stampin up ala carte stamp "frosty friends" You know me and I can never pass up a cute snowman stamp and this one was no different! I colored him up with Copics and added some glitter and wink of stella. Just added a white card base and clean and simple. These little guys are going to make a few happy smiles this holiday season!

Thanks for stopping by...Stay warm!

Joys of the season

.

More winter happiness to share today.
We received about 11 inches of snow in our first snowfall and I am hoping mother nature isn't teasing us of what is to come this winter. I don't mind some snow, but I do mind A LOT of snow!

Now to my card...Using a Hero Arts clear stamp set (sorry not sure of the name) I stamped and colored the house with my copics and added some glitter, gloss and sparkle. I used a few scraps for the sketch and put them altogether on a plain base. I inked the edges a bit to give it a little depth but other than that it was a pretty simple design. I love when I can create something simple which I love the finished product.

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and have an amazing week to come!
Thanks as always for stopping by!

Merry Mittens

I

Hello sweet patient friends!
It has been one incredible year for me and I'm feeling so blessed I can begin to share my passion with everyone once again! I noticed my last post was in April and that is way too long to not have crafting in the forefront of my life!
Sometimes when life gets in the way, you just need to take a giant step back and push it aside as hard as you can. Crafting is who I am and it certainly keeps me sane with five daughters and five grandchildren!!!
Thank you for coming back to visit. I hope I can share many goodies and create a little spark of inspiration for all of you!!

Today's creations are so fitting considering today is our first official measurable snowfall! With it, comes anywhere between 4-10 inches so we will see what happens in the morning!!!

I used the mitten punch from Stampin Up and a few SU papers as well.  The snowflake embossing folder was offset a little to give room for the happy holidays greeting (embossed in silver). Those little bows on the gloves were a bit hard to tie but my fingers managed to do their job. Thank you very much for that fingers! The "be merry" card was designed from this weeks sketch at Splitcoast. felt that little notch in the design was perfect to hang the mittens. I do love how these two cards are completely different colors with the same punch and make such a completely different feel.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you keep warm out there...that is if you need to!

This Special Season

This week at Merry Monday Challenges its all about the "star" I wish the sparkle would show up on this card because it just glitters and shines in every movement. I have no idea if it's my new room I craft in or just my camera is just gone mad but I can't get decent photos that capture the true feeling I give my cards.

I just used some white on white for this one and stamped a sentiment from the Stampin Up "special season" set. The ssmaller stars are punched right into the card staock and backed with gold glitter paper and the larger star is punched with the same glitter paper. I took some smooch, added a bit of water to speckle the background of the card.

If you would like to try your hand at this challenge, Head on over to Merry Monday challenge blog and get started each week on those Christmas and Holiday cards!

Thanks for stopping by everyone!

Enjoy the Magic of Christmas

Here is my next challenge card to share today!
Merry Monday had a challenge using green, pink and white or the sketch challenge to celebrate their 100th challenge. I decided I would find a way to fit in both together and I just love how it turned out!
Using Merry Minstrels from SU and a sentiment from Taylored Expressions from the Holiday Wonder set, I think it worked out great together. I used pattern paper form the hip hip hooray pack from American Crafts and colored with Copics. Of course you will notice I added some glitter for the snow..I haven't used glitter in days and it was just calling out to me for this one!
If you want to play too and get a jump on some holiday cards, head on over by clicking the link above!
Thanks for looking and happy crafting!

Let it Snow!!!!

I know how many people are yelling at me..NOOOOOO! I know we have had enough snow for one year, but I couldn't resist the extra cute banner with the faux stitching for this one! I found some fun country like scraps and these adorable snowmen from K &Co and knew they would be perfect for the Merry Monday challenge.I matched the papers with white and night of navy cardstock and added a few buttons to the corner to finish it off.
One more holiday card finished for me... Check!
Have a wonderful day!
Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Holiday Wishes-Merry Monday #97

Happy weekend blog world!
I know what you are saying..This girl has gone crazy! Yes, I found another fun challenge blog! They are the Merry Monday blog and ooooh, lots of goodies on there!
I must say, what struck me most about this one is if I participate, come the end of the year I will have many many holiday cards in my stash ready to go. None of this procrastinating stuff that I say I'm not going to do each year and actually do it :)
The challenge this week is to make something with Aqua, white, silver/gray. I used some of my holiday "winter frost" paper from SU combined with coastal cabana, silver and white card stock. I used Taylored expressions "the cool crowd" stamp and finished it off with a few bling.
You have a couple more days left to try this one yourself if interested..Just click on the link above.
Enjoy your weekend everyone and thanks for stopping by.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You

Hi everyone!
Thank you projects #12,13,14,15,16,17 and 18
Finally a chance to get to the desktop. Sometimes I wonder why it is so hard to do the simple things, but I guess I will take the alternative as just enjoying the moment of life. I love my crazy life I lead, but I know I need my craft time too.
For a couple days, My Mojo left me and everything I created was awful in my mind. I'm sure it wasn't as horrible as I think but you know us crafters are our worst critics when it comes to our art :)
I found it and have been working hard for the last few weeks getting some more of my November daily thank yous together. My goal was to make one each day, but when I backed up a couple days, I really needed to catch up. I'm still a couple behind, but will make sure I have all 30 by the end of the month :)
I hope you enjoy the many projects I have to share.
Made for a graphic 45 challenge :)

No Man Like a Snowman/Happy Holidays

Happy Tuesday everyone!
I did some Christmas creating today :)
I had a 50% coupon from Michael's burning a hole in my pocket today so I went, shopped and found this cute Christmas stamp set by Hampton Art from the Outline collection. (not 100% sure..Its not labels well)
I was able to make two quick cards with it while my little grandson slept today.
The first one I used some Stampin Up designer paper pad Season of Style with Coastal Cabana and Smokey Slate card stock. I used the snowman and snowflake stamps with the coordinating ink.
For the second one, I used the Christmas tree stamp colored with Copics, then dazzled it up with a glitter gel pen for the tinsel and added some glossy accents to the stars. I finished it up by popping it up white on white.
I hope everyone is getting into the Holiday spirit and getting some of your cards finished!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

More Christmas

Happy Weekend!
I just had a couple more goodies I wanted to share. The Santa one is similar to a card I saw in the Stampin Up magazine but I put my own twist on it, and the other is just a quick card with some Taylored Expressions stamps. I didn't really have time to do any shading with my coloring so hopefully whoever gets it knows I still put some love into it!
Have a wonderful day everyone!

Wish

Hello Blogger Friends!
A little more Christmas magic to share today!
This is one of my new stamps from the Stampin Up Holiday Mini titled Special Season. Its such a pretty set and I plan to use it lots this holiday season. Today I used some SU designer paper, gray cardstock and you can't tell from the pick, but the tree has been stamped in gray and embossed glitter on top of it. Its one of those you just have to see in person to get the real feel of the sparkle and shine :)
Thanks for looking everyone and have a wonderful day!

Christmas Wishes

Happy Thursday everyone!
I have been adding to my Christmas card pile and loving every minute of it. It is only October and my pile is stacking up nice and high! For once I may not be rushing around at the last minute to get them all finished.
These were put together with a little thought on mailing. So many times my cards are so thick, it is a chore to make sure they are padded enough to make it in one complete piece. I love being able to make them pop, but as with the snowman..The simplicity of this one is what I like best when I finished!
Hopefully I have inspired you with some ideas or even to get working on some cards of your own if you haven't yet!
Have a wonderful day and thanks as always for lQQking

Seasons Greetings

Happy Hump Day Friends!
I'm getting into the Christmas spirit today!
I have been really excited to use this new paper I got from my last vacation in Myrtle beach. I fussy cut around some of the photos and added some glitter for the snow and glossy accents for the windows. Finished with some bling and ribbon and a seasons greetings sentiment.
Paper is a Bo Bunny collection and Old olive from Stampin' Up.
Hoping you like it and hopefully I can bring you some more holiday creations soon!

Squiggle Sweet Sketch

Wow everyone! I can say it's been quite a long time since I have been able to post. Either life just got in the way and there were things I needed to put first or just making gifts that I can't post because I can't give them away of course!
Today I am sharing the new squiggle challenge sketch I did. I really went out of my comfort zone on colors this time and I really like how it turned out. I thought I would just try a little something new. I guess new isn't such a bad thing..I will have to take my scraps and make a little more and see what I can come up with!
I hope everyone gets a chance to come check out the squiggles blog and try your hand at this weeks challenge! Have a great day and I promise to bring you some fun treats soon!

Have a Jolly Holiday

Hi everyone..How is everyone doing on this fine Friday night? It's chilly and cold, but the snow is to the east of us, so I am happy there!
Today I made another Christmas card. I am almost thinking I will be done on time the rate I am going! I love making different shaped cards so making this criss cross card was no different. Even better when I can use up some of my scraps..which I did of course :)
It may be a little hard to see but I added some glitter to the fur on santa and added sparkly flock to his beard and mustache. Added a few free hand lines around the edges and all finished :)
Well I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
